Hey Lucas, we plan to be open this weekend April 20th!
My favourite coffee shop in all Door County. The breakfast sandwich and chocolate croissants are very very tasty.
We’ve Been there five times while vacationing in Sister Bay; each time was better than before!! Leaving from Green Bay in a few minutes with family and friends just to get coffee and some of Joel’s delicious creations.
Fantastic espresso and pastries. The breakfast burrito is incredible. Great service too!
Excellent custom-blended coffee from Luna, sophisticated breakfast dishes, exquisite pastries, cozy location. Counter-serve. Chef on premises using fresh herbs. Original art displayed. Almost magical.
What a wonderful stop. Hopefully, we'll be able to pass through again. A touch of France found in the breakfast and lunch menus and the music. Critical of lattes, this was one of the few I've had that I wished wouldn't end. Green and Gold breakfast burrito hit the spot at 4p. A unique offering with details such as a sprinkle of coarse salt on the tortilla. Very, very nice place.
Excellent espresso beverages and breakfast!
Ordered an iced coffee. Instead of saying “Just to warn you - to save money, we pour all of the leftover coffee into a pitcher, use it as an ash tray that evening, put it in the fridge and pawn it off as iced coffee the next day”, I was handed a tall cup of sadness and betrayal which may or may not ruin my entire trip. Take the extra time and drive to Bearded Heart in Baileys Harbor.. they have good coffee.
AMAZING building. Coffee's in the basement. Couches and tables, not too hip, not too cold. Restroom saved my bladder. Staff was super cool. I do believe they are not open year-round, but they are open during some of the winter months according to their reply. Check ahead of time to see if they're open!
The best coffee in Door County and delicious homemade food.
Lunch was delicious and light. Lavender vanilla latte - yummy
Basecamp gets terribly busy in the summer, but it is a nice place to go and catch up with a friend in the fall and spring. The food is average as well as the coffee. I think the cozy fireplace and books are what make it special. Oh and the prices are great for door county.b
Our favorite coffee and breakfast spot north of Al Johnson’s
Very quaint coffee shop. Home made bakery speaks volumes to me when it comes to home town shop. Still searching for a good pour-over however.
Good lattes and croissants. Bakery looks fantastic but haven't had much of it. Extremely friendly owner and staff. Very cozy place. Some of the better espresso drinks available in Door County. More reasonable prices than many other places in Door County
Do not stop here unless you are willing to be disappointed with any other coffee bar you will ever go to.Come down the steps into an 'old world' experience of charm; excellent, meticulously prepared cuisine; and bartistas ,who prepare and serve the most satisfying of brews. Perhaps you will be fortunate enough to share a few words with Joel ! Enjoy
Great little coffee shop and cafe. Come early, the bad.....other than a long line and limited parking.....(which is really a good sign)... will definitely be coming back.
It's s nice spot for just a bite for breakfast. They have a large selection of coffee. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Base Camp is our favorite breakfast place in all Door County. Coffee is perfect and we've never had a bad item here. This morning I ordered a breakfast burrito and was surprised with the yummiest breakfast burrito. The lavender latte is fantastic using local lavender from Washington Island. Wear a mask, but go to Base Camp to start your day off right.
Great coffee, meals and great treats! Friendly helpful staff.
Awesome atmosphere and good food. We ordered a burrito and two crepes. It took a while to get but they were masterpieces in look and taste. Plus the coffee and maple steamer were very good.
Love this place! Great coffee, great people, always great service. I highly recommend the Campfire latte!
One of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had — the breakfast croissant. Tasted fresh, was made from scratch. Not sure if they buy or make their own croissants but it was flaky and soft. Latte also really good, not burnt tasting like at some chain coffee places. Also location is quite fun and unique, below an old church or one room schoolhouse. Were it not for covid we’d love to have stayed a bit.
Poor, poor service- very disappointed. Decided to try this place out after hearing about what a good coffee shop it was, how the owner was from France. Also heard they had good croissants, etc. after walking to get here, around 11:30 am, we get to the door and it says you have to call-in your order (because of Covid). Which we didn’t know until arriving. So as we’re calling in, the owner says something about closing up shop, before noon, mind you, although the hours say until 2. Was rude upon my questioning about ordering and was given to another employee to tell my order too. Waited around for a mediocre croissant and coffee (also ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich that was just okay). All-in-all, the whole experience ruined my morning. Would not recommend.
What a treat! Excellent espresso, delicious pastries and well made sandwiches. We’ve been visiting Base Camp for years and have never been disappointed!
Delicious coffee and great atmosphere. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a great coffee house vibe. Light French music in the background (today at least). Had the Maple Latte with Door County maple syrup (added a shot of almond flavor) and thought it was out of this world crazy good!! Definitely worth a stop for a relaxing moment.
Unexpected find! Speciality foods and beverages. Wonderful crepes made fresh with great selection of coffees and teas.
Great coffee and breakfast! Cozy place with outdoor seating as well. Great service.
One of our faves with great coffee beverages, home made French accented pastries. Also crepes, quiches, soups and sandwiches, all made on premises. Open for breakfast and lunch and usually busy!
Base camp is my favorite coffee shop in Door County! Not only do they make a mean cup of Joe, but everything that comes out of their kitchen is delicious. We tried all of their pastries and quiches and like each and everyone of them. Not even are you getting good food and drinks, but they sell great souvenirs. My favorite mug is from Base Camp and I use it everyday. Their shirts are super soft and it's great to support my favorite place around DoCo.
